Ms. Paw was born in Burma but raised in Thailand, Mae La Oo refugee camp and moved to the U.S in 2014. She is studying at Metropolitan State University, majoring in Early Childhood Education. ”I love working with little kids because they give me so much joy and happiness. During my free time I love hanging out with my friends and spending time with my family.”
Hyokyung Kwak 곽효경

Ms. Kwak's journey abroad commenced in 2017 when she traveled to Wales, UK, to study English. During her time there, she was captivated by the various teaching methods employed by educators. In 2019, she pursued her studies in Early Childhood Education in the United States. Driven by a desire to explore education on a global scale, Ms. Kwak embarked on a program in Comparative and International Development Education at the University of Minnesota in 2022. Her future aspirations include establishing a school in an underserved area, where she can offer a curriculum that fosters students' potential and nurtures them into global citizens.
Kim Lybrand

Kimberly Lybrand was born in Seoul, Korea and grew up in the south and midwest US. Her Korean name is 장은서. During college, she majored in music at the University of Iowa, and started learning more about Korea and Korean culture after visiting Seoul for the first time in 2022. She was able to study Korean during a summer program at Pusan National University in 2024, and hopes to continue learning Korean. She worked at an elementary school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa before moving to Minnesota and joining Sejong in 2025. As a Korean adoptee, She thinks of Sejong warmly, like the school she wishes she could have attended as a kid. She also has two cats named Toast and Jelly.
Danny Decemson

Mr. Decemson grew up in a Thailand refugee camp and moved to the United States in 2011. He graduated High School in 2016 and pursued his career in Law Enforcement. He graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor's in Degree in Criminal Justice Studies. Someday he hopes to become a police officer in the state of Minnesota and help protect the community. During his leisure he loves to go to the gym and workout. He believes staying fit and active helps promote a healthy body and mind. He also loves working with students. That's why he’s happy to work with students at Sejong!
Tha Dar Doh
Drug Prevention Facilitator

Tha Dar Doh serves as the Drug Prevention Coordinator at Sejong Academy. In this role, he supports students in making safe and healthy choices by providing education on substance use prevention, leading programs such as Teen Intervene, and connecting families with community resources when needed. He works closely with teachers, counselors, and parents to build a safe and supportive environment where every student can thrive. He is passionate about helping young people discover their strengths, set positive goals, and create a healthy future. Outside of school, he enjoys reading, hiking, and volunteering.
Hayeon Lee

Ms. Hayeon Lee holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Graphic Design and brings a creative flair to her teaching. Her passion for inspiring young minds is matched by her love for discovering the latest design trends, which she incorporates into her work on the school's social media. In her free time, Hayeon enjoys working out and practicing jiu-jitsu to stay energized and focused. She also loves visiting coffee shops to unwind and find fresh inspiration.

With over 20 years of IT experience and more than a decade of dedicated work with schools, He is currently manage IT operations for four schools in Minnesota. His journey began as onsite IT support for a single school, and has since expanded to overseeing comprehensive IT services across multiple institutions. He holds a BA in Network Technology (Magna Cum Laude) and an AAS in Graphic Design (Summa Cum Laude). My certifications include A+, MCSA, Network+, HME, and CCENT, among others. In addition to his role at Sejong Korean Immersion School, He owns and operate Reboot Systems LLC and am a partner in Umbrella Systems. His companies have collaborated on projects with several Fortune 500 companies, including Wells Fargo, Target, Best Buy, Bank of America, Taco Bell, and many others. Originally from Philadelphia, his son and he has called Minnesota home for over 15 years. Outside of work, He enjoys binge-watching Netflix, cheering for the Eagles, and embarking on adventures with his significant other—often in his pink Miata during Minnesota’s short summers.
